Nexstar Media Foundation Announces Honorees for Day Sixteen of “30 Days of Giving” Initiative

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston and Woodbury County Conservation Foundation Named as Recipients of $5,000 Grants

Irving, TX (June 16, 2026) - Nexstar Media Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: NXST), today announced that the Nexstar Media Charitable Foundation is making a $5,000 contribution to both Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston and Woodbury County Conservation Foundation as part of the company's "30 Days of Giving" initiative, a month-long program recognizing and supporting nonprofit and charitable organizations serving communities across Nexstar's nationwide footprint.

"30 Days of Giving" is an employee-driven initiative created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Nexstar's founding in June 1996. Locally-led committees reviewed submissions from Nexstar's 13,000 employees and selected charitable and nonprofit organizations to nominate for grants. More than 100 organizations were nominated, and the Nexstar Charitable Foundation's Board of Directors chose 60 to receive $5,000 each. Every day during the month of June, the Foundation will award two $5,000 grants; by the end of the month the Foundation will have committed $300,000 to "30 Days of Giving."

The Foundation today recognized Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston and Woodbury County Conservation Foundation as recipients of $5,000 grants. The organizations were nominated by employees at WCBD-TV, the Nexstar television serving Charleston, SC, and KCAU-TV in Sioux City, IA, respectively.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston (RMHC Charleston) provides a "home away from home" for families traveling to Charleston, SC, to access life-saving medical care for their children. The organization helps keep families together by offering comfortable beds, warm meals, and compassionate support. Families have access to a fully stocked kitchen, laundry facilities, a playroom for children ages 8 and under, Wi-Fi, and 24/7 security. All services are provided at no cost to families, easing both the emotional and financial burden during a difficult time.

The Nexstar Charitable Foundation's grant will go towards RMHC Charleston's Expanding Hope project, which aims to expand the House with 34 additional bedrooms, two elevators large enough to accommodate a stretcher, a classroom for siblings attending class, communal spaces, and separate play areas for toddlers, youth and teens.

"Our donation today to the Ronald McDonald House is an example of the Nexstar Foundation's commitment to the communities we serve," said Gray Soapes, Vice President and General Manager of WCBD-TV in Charleston, SC. "This is just one of 60 donations we will make over our '30 Days of Giving' initiative in celebration of Nexstar Media Group's 30th birthday. This also represents the importance of local broadcasters and our engagement with the many charities we help in the markets where we live and work."

The Woodbury County Conservation Foundation in far west-central Iowa along the Missouri River, manages 19 parks, natural areas, and more than 5,000 acres of undeveloped wildlife areas, several day use areas and river accesses. It protects natural resources and promotes environmental education and conservation to save the integrity of the Loess Hills prairies.

Its foundation provides scholarships for school children attending the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center for field trips and camps, funds Nature Center programs, special events, exhibits and trail enhancements, enhances prairie management to save the integrity of the Loess Hills prairies, and other county parks and natural resources.

"We're proud to support organizations like the Woodbury County Conservation Foundation and the Dorthy Pecaut Nature Center, they make a meaningful impact in Siouxland," said Mari Ossenfort, Vice President and General Manager of KCAU-TV in Sioux City, IA. "Their work enhances prairie management to save the integrity of the Loess Hills prairies and offers scholarships to children attending Nature Center field trips and camps."

Commenting on her nomination of the Woodbury County Conservation Foundation, KCAU-TV Operations Manager Daniele Feenstra said: "Growing up on a farm, I spent a lot of time outdoors, so when it came time to nominate an organization, the choice was easy. The Woodbury County Conservation Board and the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center give people of all ages the opportunity to step outside and reconnect with nature. It's an incredible resource for our community and a place where people can truly learn to appreciate the area we're fortunate to call home."
