On 9 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Mauro Luiz Lecker Vieira, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federative Republic of Brazil, during the latter's official visit to Thailand.

Both sides discussed ways to further advance Thailand-Brazil cooperation to make it more dynamic and results-oriented, particularly in the areas of security, trade and investment, and people-to-people ties, including tourism. They agreed to promote high-level exchanges and greater engagement between the private sectors of both countries, as well as to expand cooperation in agriculture and bio-agriculture, aviation and aircraft maintenance, and science, research and innovation, areas in which Brazil has considerable expertise and potential. The Ministers also agreed to deepen cooperation at the regional and multilateral levels to jointly address global challenges and uphold the rules-based international order.
