Chinese Ambassador to Guyana Yang Yang and H.E. President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali Attend the Premier Performance of Chinese Acrobatic Troupe’s Tour in Guyana

On April 17th, 2026, H.E. Ambassador Yang Yang and H.E. President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali jointly attended the premier performance of Chinese Acrobatic Troupe's tour upon the invitation of the Government of Guyana. Hon. Prime Minister Brigadier (Ret'd) Mark Phillips, cabinet ministers, members of parliament, foreign envoys accredited to Guyana, and more than 300 guests participated. 

Ambassador Yang sent warm congratulations to Guyana's 60th anniversary of independence and highly recognized how China and Guyana have strongly supported each other throughout the years. She spoke highly of the cooperation of China and Guyana across all fields, especially in cultural exchanges. She expressed confidence in this tour's significance in promoting people-to-people connections, and bringing cultural exchange of two countries to new heights.

President Ali extended warm welcome and sincere gratitude to the Troupe who came afar. He expressed his anticipation in the great success of this tour and emphasized that this tour would greatly promote the cultural and artistic exchanges and deepen the friendship between China and Guyana.

From April 19th, the Troupe will perform in the Capital and 4 other regions.
