Struzzi Recognized as RCPA Legislator of the Year

Sep. 12, 2025

HARRISBURG - State Rep. Jim Struzzi (R-Indiana) was recognized as Legislator of the Year by the Rehabilitation and Community Providers Association (RCPA) this week. The award is given annually to a state legislator for their dedication and commitment to health and human services in Pennsylvania.

"Rep. Struzzi has been an invaluable partner of the human services field, and in particular, behavioral health treatment providers," said Jason Snyder, the RCPA Director of Substance Use Disorder Treatment Services. "His personal experience - having lost his brother Michael to a drug overdose - has given him a unique perspective and understanding of the challenges those with substance use disorder and mental health issues face, along with the issues providers face in treating them. His empathy has translated into legislative and policy action. He is a leader on our issues, and we are extremely grateful for his work."

"I want to thank RCPA for the recognition," Struzzi said. "However, I feel my contributions to the rehabilitation community are small compared to the men and women who work every day helping those who need assistance the most. Your contributions are not only recognized but also deeply valued and integral to our communities throughout the Commonwealth. This award only drives me to work harder for human service providers."
