GDOT District 3 was awarded Eight projects in July 2025
The first investment will be a bridge replacement project in Coweta County. This bridge replacement project will cost approximately $2.1 million and will be on Old Corinth Road over Sandy Creek. The contract was awarded to Knight & Associates, Inc.

The second investment is located in Houston County. It will also involve a bridge replacement project on US 41/SR 7/SR 127 over Big Indian Creek. The project qill cost approximately $8 million and was awarded to Southeastern Site Development, Inc.

The next investment is located in Monroe County. Contractors will be paving 10 miles and making upgrades to I-75 and SR 401 beginning south f I-475/ SR 408 and extending to SR 42. The cost will be $311,045.00. The contract was awarded to Peek Pavement Marking, LLC.

The fourth investment will be in Sumter County. There will be a new roundabout at State Route 30 at Lamar Road / Pecan Road. The cost will be $2.5 million. The contract was awarded to Griffin Grading & Concrete, LLC.

The fifth investment is located in Bibb County and the project is the resurfacing of 2.9 miles, including milling, inlay and plant remix on State Route 19, beginning at SR 87 and extending to US 41/ SR 247 to Pierce Avenue. The cost will be approximately $1.7 million. The contract was awarded to Reeves Construction Company.

The next investment is in Henry County. A new roundabout will be constructed at State Route 20 and McGarity Road and Lawrenceville Street. The cost will be approximately $5.8 million. The contractor is Vertical Earth Incorporated.

The last investment is in Marion County and will be a is the resurfacing of 16.4 miles, including milling, inlay and plant remix at the Chattahoochee County line and extending into the Schley County line. The cost will be approximately $6.6 million and the contract award to Scruggs Company.

Start dates have not been established for any of the contracts and are not scheduled.
