Bobcat Bulletin Alumni Spotlight highlights alumni who give back to Frostburg in some way - time, talent, treasure or any combination. This edition of Bobcat Bulletin features Jason Jackson '13.
Current Occupation: Critical Care RN, currently attending CRNA school in the military
I chose to attend FSU after a liaison visited my high school and endorsed all of the degree programs available and the professional success stories of the alumni.
The most influential faculty member was Dr. Fred Surgent.
My favorite memory as a student was the road trips made as a member of the track team. I had good memories traveling with friends.
I studied Exercise Science while at FSU, but the advice wouldn't change for nursing majors. I would say enjoy your college experience, but remember your purpose for being there; your life post-graduation is heavily influenced by the decisions you make while an undergrad. Strive to excel academically and commit to extracurricular activities.
I am a proud Bobcat who wishes nothing but the best for current students.
The CHILL Program laid the foundation for my current physical condition and health by educating students on the importance of proper nutrition, exercise, and stress management.
Reality Check Mentoring, compliments of Jermaine Johnson '13.
I love all things sports, either participating or watching. My favoites are football, basketball, and track.
Impactful, Professional, Continuing
I have been in the Army for 13 years. I started as an LPN in the Army and worked my way up to an RN. I am a Captain (O-3) and in CRNA school.
