Now Open: Phase 2 Survey for Embarcadero One-Way Pilot Project

The Phase 2 Survey is Now Open for Input!

Phase 2 of the Embarcadero Way One-Way Conversion Pilot Project went into effect on April 8, 2026. During this time, Embarcadero Way has been temporarily a one-way street heading the southwest between Mission Avenue and Marina Court Drive.

Now that Phase 2 of the pilot project has been in place for almost a month, the City and County are gathering feedback on resident's experiences with Phase 2 and how it compares to Phase 1. We want to hear from you! Submit your input by May 29th!

If you would like to provide your feedback on this phase, please complete the survey found here:

Phase 2 Embarcadero One-Way Conversion Pilot Survey

What's Next?

Embarcadero Way will temporarily remain a one-way street, permitting travel only heading in the southwest direction. Similar to before and during Phase 1, traffic volume counts will be taken during Phase 2. At the end of May, the project team will compile the data and feedback from both phases of the pilot project to prepare a final report. The report will be posted on the website and presented at a Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) meeting before being presented at a City Council meeting for a final decision for permanent installation.

The project website will continue to be updated with information: https://www.cityofsanrafael.org/embarcadero/
