Los Angeles, CA (August 28th, 2026) - Today, RAMPD (Recording Artists and Music Professionals with Disabilities) announces that it has partnered with Concord Music Publishing to present the 2026 Songwriting Camp at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles, CA from September 2-4.
The camp is funded and supported by Concord's Impact Investment initiative , which deploys capital into projects and organizations in the music and theater industries that serve or are led by members of underrepresented and marginalized communities. Upholding RAMPD's mission to expand disability inclusion, representation, and opportunity in the music industry, this program empowers disabled artists, songwriters, and producers to connect and collaborate with other creatives affiliated with Concord. The songwriting camp's partners also include BetterHelp, Backline, Nixie, and Stagewater.
This union represents Concord's commitment to amplifying and giving a stage to as many voices as possible. Overseeing the collaboration, RAMPD leadership consists of CEO Lachi, Interim Executive Director Terra Lopez, and Head of Operations Arthur Gwynne, and Concord leadership is represented by Vice President of Sync Mayra Vargas.
Gwynne said, "I'm so proud that RAMPD is showing our full force in LA with over 20 participating Professional Members of the RAMPD Network from across the country. Diversity is our strength- not only representing the full gamut of disabilities and access needs, but we are also deeply diverse across gender/orientation, race/ethnicity, genre, age - you name it, we are it."
RAMPD concludes the event with its industry-wide mixer and listening party DisCo House at Sidebar Covell on September 4.
Specific accessibility features, accommodations, and initiatives will be integrated into the camp setup and sessions; with several wheelchair accessible recording studio rooms, RAMPD assisting with travel for all RAMPD network members, and the DisCo House mixer integrating everything from sign language to labeled bites.
Lachi Music commented, "This is a first for RAMPD, and it's exactly the kind of real-world opportunity our Member Network deserves. We're putting Disabled songwriters and producers in the room with the largest independent music publisher in the world, giving them a real shot at getting their stories synced, heard by millions, and their talent recognized on the global stage. We're competitive, we're undeniable culture shifters, and we have stories the world hasn't heard, and RAMPD is creating the platform, partnerships, space, and opportunity for us to prove just how much we have to say."
Terra Lopez added, "RAMPD is thrilled to partner with Concord Music Publishing for this Songwriting Camp as it is a powerful step toward creating a music industry where ALL can participate, contribute, and thrive. There is an incredible community of Disabled artists, songwriters, and producers whose vision, talent, and stories have historically been underrepresented in these spaces, and it's time to change that. By partnering with an industry leader like Concord, we're creating meaningful access to opportunities, connections, and resources that will have a lasting impact on careers. RAMPD and Concord are showing the music industry that the future of music is accessible and inclusive."
Artist and RAMPD Network Pro Member Danielle Hollobough echoed this excitement, "I love any opportunity to meet new people and make music together! Not only does this song camp give me the chance to do that, but we get to show what a force disabled people can be when we work together. Stay tuned for some great music!"
Artist and RAMPD Network Pro Member Ivan Estrella added, "I'm excited to be a part of this project, and to team up with so many talented artists. I can't wait to see what we create together and to share it with the world. This project reflects what we're all about here at RAMPD."
RAMPD Member Network President Marsha Elle noted, "It's an honor to serve as the president of the RAMPD member network and to be a part of the RAMPD X Concord Music Publishing Songwriting Camp. This is an incredible partnership that will truly bring forth amazing music and community building!"
RAMPD Member Network Vice President Natalis shared, "Living with an non-visible disability has caused me to constantly pivot and question whether or not my body could keep up with the demands of the music industry. RAMPD however has introduced me to a community that has given me tools to advocate for myself, access to rooms I thought beyond my reach, and a seat at the table to be a voice for many others. Regardless of my dynamic conditions, my creative ideas get to be heard. I'm grateful for the accessibility and access to a real industry level opportunity to potentially get synced with Concord Music Publishing, and cannot wait to see what we all create together!"
RAMPD Member Network Secretary Jai Yoo commented, "What makes this camp so special is that every creator involved gets to show up fully as themselves and have their talent amplified by major partners like Concord, Backline, BetterHelp, and StageWATER. As the RAMPD Networks's first industry-side executive leader, I'm grateful they made space for those of us behind the scenes to contribute our expertise, support our RAMPD family, and help create opportunities that have historically excluded disabled and neurodivergent creators."
Mayra Vargas, VP Sync at Concord Music Publishing added, "Concord is excited and proud to partner with RAMPD to bring this songwriting camp to life. It is so important for us to work hand in hand with organizations whose mission aligns with ours; to elevate the voices of songwriters around the world and to create spaces where authenticity, inclusion and true collaboration fuel the magic of songwriting."
Through career development, innovative partnerships, cultural trainings, and educational resources, RAMPD strives to equip the music industry with the tools needed to empower working music creators and professionals with disabilities, neurodivergence, and other chronic conditions. Founded in 2021, the organization is committed to championing representation, equity, and an inclusive creative ecosystem. Ultimately, its vision is to destigmataize disability, and to create a world where all creators can establish career authority and financial stability without having to mask.
