SALINE COUNTY - Crews will conduct overnight lane closures on Interstate 70 eastbound east of Route J (Exit 84) near mile marker 85. The lane closures will occur nightly from Tuesday evening, Oct. 13 until Friday morning, Oct. 16, from approximately 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. each night. These closures will be in place for bridge work at the Nitrogen Ave. bridge over I-70. You can learn more about the project here: County Road 211 and County Road 225 Bridge Replacement over Interstate 70 in Saline County | Missouri Department of Transportation. All work is weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
