Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) is pleased to announce the re-election of Charlotte Roule as GSE President for a second two-year term. This renewed mandate reflects the continued trust and confidence of GSE members in her leadership and vision for the future of gas and hydrogen storage in Europe.
Charlotte has been a member of the GSE ExCom since 2023 and has served on the GIE Board since the same year, representing Storengy.
Charlotte Roule currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Storengy, one of Europe's leading operators of underground gas storage, and as Vice-President Hydrogen, ENGIE Group.
Under her leadership, the company has accelerated its transition towards renewable and low-carbon gases and is pioneering innovative hydrogen storage projects, further strengthening its role in Europe's energy transition.
With extensive international and strategic experience within the ENGIE Group, Charlotte Roule previously held senior positions in ENGIE Group, including Group Chief Strategy Officer, ENGIE CHINA CEO or Storengy UK MD.
Beyond her executive responsibilities, Charlotte Roule is deeply involved in European and international energy governance. Since June 2025, she has been a Board member of Hydrogen Europe. She also sits on the Board of Directors of France Gaz. From 2018 to 2023, she served as Vice President of the European Chamber of Commerce in China, where she continues to represent the Chamber in Paris. She also contributed to the B20 Energy, Sustainable Development and Climate Working Group in 2022.
