Fernando Leibovici joins Dallas Fed’s international research group

DALLAS-The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has named Fernando Leibovici as assistant vice president in the research department's international group. He starts in his new role on Aug. 16.

Leibovici will aid the group's focus on globalization and its implications for monetary policy. He will also help lead key initiatives at the Dallas Fed's Global Institute.

Leibovici has served at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis since 2016, most recently as senior economic policy advisor in the Research Division. He will continue to play a leadership role in international work across the Federal Reserve system.

Leibovici previously was an assistant professor of economics at York University in Toronto.

He holds a bachelor's degree in economics and mathematics as well as a master's degree in economics from the University of Toronto. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from New York University.
