Overnight Lane Closures on Westbound State Route 4 in Brentwood for Paving Operations

Tuesday, July 14, 2026, between the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Contra Costa County - For the safety of the motoring public and our crews, Caltrans Construction has scheduled overnight lane and ramp closures on westbound SR-4 between SR-160 and Laurel Road in Brentwood on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. to allow crews to continue paving operations, please prepare to merge and slow for the cone zone. To search for current District 4 lane closure information, please click here. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.

Lane Closures (Westbound SR-4):

  • Alternating lane closures between Hillcrest Avenue and SR-160
  • Lane #2 closure between Laurel Road and SR-160

Ramp Closures:

  • Laurel Road on-ramp to WB SR-4

Please note complete closures, as well as lane and ramp closures, will continue along SR-4 Sunday through Thursday nights between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. The westbound closures on SR-4 will reopen at 5:00 a.m. This project is tentatively scheduled to be completed by Summer 2027.
