HHS announces addition of behavioral health programs eligible for federal reimbursement

The Department of Health and Human Services Aug. 18 announced that its Administration for Children and Families has added two new peer support programs to the Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse, allowing all states to claim federal reimbursement. One addition is the Family-Based Recovery program, which focuses on in-home clinical treatment for parents combatting addiction who have children ages 0-5. The second, the Wellness Recovery Action Plan, involves trained peer facilitators coaching individuals through mental health or addiction recovery concepts and helping them respond to and recover from crises.
