Replacement of a Culvert on State Route 36 at Norris Creek
Beginning June1, 2026

What: Road Closure on SR36 SW for Bridge Construction.

Location: SR36 Culvert Replacement @ Norris Creek 3.2 MI SW of Jackson and @Big Sandy Creek 3.8 MI SW
of Jackson.

Why: Remove the existing bottomless culvert and replace it with a box culvert.

When: June 1, 2026, until fall of 2026

Detour: The detour route will use SR 16 to I-75SB, then exit 201 for Westbound SR 36 traffic.
Eastbound SR 36 Traffic will utilize I-75 NB to Exit 205 (SR 16) into Jackson.



Detour Route: Northbound traffic on England Chapel Road will head East on SR 16 and turn left onto Shiloh Road. Northbound Traffic on Shiloh Road will ride and turn left onto Walt Banks Road. Northbound Traffic will then use Walt Banks Road to return to England Chapel Road and continue North. Southbound traffic on England Chapel Road will turn left onto Walt Banks Road. Southbound traffic will then turn right on Shiloh Road. Southbound traffic will then continue and turn right onto SR 16. Southbound traffic will utilize SR 16 to get back to the South side of England Chapel Rd.

ADVISORY: Dates may change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones.
