Vietnam: Vietnam Notifies Draft Replacement to the Food Safety Law of 2010
On August 3, 2026, Vietnam's Food Administration, under the Ministry of Health (MOH), submitted notification G/SPS/N/VNM/187 to the World Trade Organization's Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Committee, announcing a Draft Replacement to the Food Safety Law of 2010. The comment period for this draft closes August 17, 2026. The draft is scheduled for submission to the National Assembly for approval in October 2026, with entry into force set for January 1, 2027.
