The latest: Hurricane Isaias made landfall in Destin at 8:30 p.m. CDT as a Category 2 hurricane. As of 11:30 a.m. CDT today, we have already restored power to more than 43,000 customers, or more than 12% of those affected. Our crews are fully engaged and working as quickly as possible to restore power to the estimated 332,000 customers who remain without power.
Why it matters: FPL has 16,000 men and women working to restore power as quickly as possible.
Our restoration workforce includes crews and resources from 29 states. They are all engaged and dedicated to supporting all of our customers impacted by this powerful storm.
