An introduction to local native birds

Join long-standing Kaipātiki Project volunteer, and bird enthusiast, Isabel Morris at the EcoHub this EcoFest.

This is a great chance to introduce yourself, or extend your knowledge, of local native bird species seen regularly in the Kaipātiki region. Through short slideshow presentations and audio clips, you'll get introduced to the world of local native birds so that next time you go for a walk at a local reserve, or see a new bird in your garden, you'll have a deeper understanding of what you're witnessing.

Time to chat and share experiences afterwards over a cuppa at the EcoHub and, of course, feel free to head out into Eskdale Reserve yourself afterwards and see if you can spot any of the birds you learnt about!

Book your spot as spaces are limited.
