Stay informed and connected with the new PittSAFE app

For the fall 2026 semester, the University of Pittsburgh is launching a new, free mobile safety app, designed to help students, faculty, staff, visitors, parents and community members stay informed, connected and prepared.

PittSAFE replaces the legacy Rave Guardian app as Pitt's centralized hub for campus safety resources, emergency communications and support services. It supports all five University campuses with location-specific information.

App users with valid Pitt credentials can access all features by logging in via Pitt Passport, while guests can gain access by creating a new account.

Visit the Services Portal for more information on on getting started with PittSAFE, or download it on the App Store or Google Play.
