Willkie advised Masked Rider Capital and its portfolio company 7 Crew, a leading franchisee of 7 Brew Drive-Thru Coffee, on the sale of a majority stake in 7 Crew to Franchise Equity Partners.
On September 16, Franchise Equity Partners announced the acquisition of a majority stake in 7 Crew, the second-largest franchise owner of 7 Brew Drive-Thru Coffee stands. As part of the agreement, Franchise Equity Partners will continue to execute 7 Crew's existing development agreement with 7 Brew, which includes opening more than 200 new stands across Texas, Florida, Oklahoma, and New Mexico.
Masked Rider Capital, a family office based in Lubbock, Texas, will retain an equity stake in 7 Crew.
The Willkie team was led by partner Jon Platt and included associates Omar Shariff, Bilal Sheriff and Zan Khan.
