Crapo Congratulates Travis Hill on Nomination to Lead FDIC

Washington, D.C.--U.S. Senator Mike Crapo (R-Idaho), Chairman of the U.S. Senate Finance Committee and former Chairman of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, today applauded the nomination of Travis Hill to serve as the Chair of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).

"President Trump made an excellent choice nominating Travis Hill to permanently lead the FDIC. Travis has a deep understanding of financial services policy and in his current role as acting FDIC Chairman, he has already proven effective at refocusing the agency's efforts on core banking practices. In addition to his extensive professional experience, Travis has the diligence and character to effectively lead the agency. I look forward to supporting this well-deserved nomination and am confident he will ensure a safe, sound and competitive banking system for all Americans."
