Radioactive Emergency Ranks #1 On Netflix’s Global Top 10 For Non‑English Shows, Bringing Another Brazilian Story To The Global Stage

São Paulo, March 2026 - Nearly 40 years after the Cesium-137 accident in Goiânia, Brazil, the story is back in the spotlight. In its second week on Netflix, the miniseries Radioactive Emergency reached the Global Top 10 for non-English shows , totaling over 10.8 million views and placing in the Top 10 in 55 countries.

Starring Johnny Massaro and Paulo Gorgulho, the drama released on March 18 spotlights Brazilian scientists and doctors racing to trace contamination and save victims. The production reinforces Netflix's investment in stories with Brazilian DNA, told by Brazilians, for Brazilians, and able to win audiences around the world.
