The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is developing plans for improving CTDOT's maintenance operations by constructing a facility on 660 Brook Street in Rocky Hill.
The project involves the construction of a 12,500 square foot Radio Lab facility to support CTDOT's maintenance operations. The project also includes site improvements, conversion of the existing 7,000 sf facility to a warm storage facility, and utilities to support the new building.
This project will be constructed on CTDOT's existing site at Brook Street, in Rocky Hill. Under the current design schedule, construction is scheduled to begin in spring of 2028. The project will be state funded.
This project is necessary because the current facilities located on Brook Street in Rocky Hill are functionally obsolete and do not meet current CTDOT standards. The number of personnel and types of maintenance operations will not change as a result of the project.
It is CTDOT's policy to keep the public informed and involved when such projects are undertaken. It is important that the community share its concerns with us to assist in the project's development If there is adequate interest, an informational meeting will be conducted. Anyone interested in receiving information on this project may do so by contacting Mr. Matthew Easdon, Project Engineer, at (860) 594-3393 or by e-mail at [email protected].
