Get Ready for Spring Leaf Collection Season
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (March 13, 2026) - The City is gearing up for the semi-annual leaf collection season. Residents are urged to take advantage of free leaf bags for their spring cleanup.
The bags can be obtained at the Department of Public Works, 400 Jersey Ave., from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesdays, March 18, 25, and April 1, 8, 15, and 22, plus from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, March 14 and April 11. Leaf bag pickup will be on select Wednesdays according to your leaf zone in April. You can find the schedule on Page 4 of the Trash/Recycling Reschedule here.
Place leaf bags out on Tuesday night after 5 p.m. before your select Wednesday.
