Tour Announced For 2026-2027, Bringing Full Live Band To More Than Two Dozen Dates Across
North America
Good Moon Festival Takes Over North Carolina From October 8th-10th, Sold-Out Residency Shows Arrive in LA From June 15th-20th
DURHAM, NC - June 10th, 2026 : Today, Sylvan Esso return like you have never heard them before. Out now on their label, Psychic Hotline, "Hot Slob" marks the band's first new single of 2026, extending a loud, heated, hair-down invitation to party. Proudly messy and more pointed than any of their music to date, the song embraces the spirit and chaos of living in the glitch, punching upwards with explosive blows and a tongue-in-cheek stride. "Try to make my body feel like something that I wanna do, for who? for who? for who? for who," sings Amelia Meath. "Fuck it, yeah I'm phoney but I sell it like its something new, the truth, the truth, the truth!"
Listen to "Hot Slob" via Psychic Hotline, and watch the music video starring Sylvan Esso's Amelia Meath: HERE
Recorded at their studio Betty's in Chapel Hill, NC, "Hot Slob" is built around the central tension and tightrope walk that have forever guided the songwriting of Sylvan Esso's Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn - a push-and-pull of the physical and existential, cerebral and instinctual, from dance floors to dark corners. Alongside Meath on vocals and Sanborn on bass, guitar, drums and vocals, "Hot Slob" features drums from TJ Maiani (Weyes Blood, Neneh Cherry), and bass, electric guitar and vocals from Jenn Wasner (Flock of Dimes, Bon Iver).
Ushering in a new chapter of freedom and independence, comfort and consideration, expansive collaboration and complete control, "Hot Slob" follows Sylvan Esso's choice to move their work to Psychic Hotline this past fall - and previews much to come this summer.
In addition to releasing music the way they want, with the people they choose, in their own studio and through their own label, Sylvan Esso will soon begin to debut their largest live iteration yet. From June 15th-20th at Los Angeles' Sid the Cat Auditorium, they will host a sold-out, week-long residency, sharing new songs and rehearsing with the extensive live band they will now be taking on the road this year and next.
Announced today, Sylvan Esso's full-band tour will span more than two dozen dates across North America in 2026 and 2027, stretching from NYC's Brooklyn Paramount to Chicago's Salt Shed, LA's Wiltern and beyond. General on-sale for the tour begins at 10am local time this Friday, June 12th, with presales starting at 10am local time this Thursday, June 11th.
