Prime Minister Orpo awarded Ukrainian medal of honour

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has awarded Prime Minister Petteri Orpo one of Ukraine's highest distinctions in recognition of his work to strengthen cooperation between Finland and Ukraine and his support for Ukraine.

The distinction awarded to Prime Minister Petteri Orpo is the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, 2nd Class, which is highly esteemed in Ukraine.

The award is granted to persons who have made a significant personal contribution to strengthening cooperation between states and to supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Former Prime Minister Sanna Marin has also received a medal of honour from Ukraine: the Order of Princess Olga, 1st Class.
