UW-Oshkosh alumni Class Notes: July 2026

'85 DeAnn Thurmer, of Fox Lake, retired as president of SSM Health St. Clare Hospital-Baraboo, SSM Health Ripon Community Hospital and SSM Health Waupun Memorial Hospital.

'87 Jill (Quirk) Kellner, of Appleton, is a licensing certification specialist with the State of Wisconsin. Kellner has two sons and a future daughter-in-law who are all UW-Oshkosh alumni.

'88, '93 (MBA) William "Bill" Sennholz, of Marshfield, is the president and CEO of Forward Bank. During his leadership, the bank has grown from two offices in Marshfield to 14 locations across central Wisconsin and one in Minnesota. Sennholz was recognized by the Wisconsin Bankers Association (WBA) for completing his three-year term on the WBA Board of Directors.

'90 Kristi Matus, of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, was elected to the Unum Group Board of Directors. Matus will serve on the audit and risk and finance committees. She is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a fellow of the Society of Actuaries.

'95, '98 (MBA) Jennifer Riedeman, of Rosendale, celebrated 25 years with National Exchange Bank & Trust. Riedeman joined the bank in 2001 as a financial advisor through Raymond James Financial Services where she has helped customers with a wide range of financial planning, retirement strategies and investment solutions. She is also a member of the Rosendale-Brandon School Board.

'95, '98 (MBA) Jennifer Riedeman

'97 Col. Kurt Mueller, of Saint Francis, will retire in August following a long career as chaplain for the Army's Defense Information Systems Agency and Joint Force Headquarters -Department of Defense Information Network.

'97 Jamal Scott, of Oswego, Illinois, is the vice president of Undergraduate Education and dean of the Undergraduate College at National Louis University. Scott recently joined the Earthmover Credit Union Board of Directors.

'99 Dave Boos, of Gainesville, Florida is the new head coach of the Columbus Fury, a women's Major League Volleyball team. Boos was formerly the University of Florida Women's Volleyball associate head coach. He is married to '97 Amy (Ward) Boos, a former Titan Volleyball player and UWO Athletics Hall of Fame member.

'99 Tricia Handrich, of Hortonville, and her daughter '24 Brielle (Handrich) Wunderlich, work for Merchants' Choice Card Services LLC, a family-run business co-founded by Handrich's father.

'99 (MS) Terri Kallsen, of Bolinas, California, is the managing partner of Rise Growth Partners, a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) investing company. Kallsen has a 30-year career in financial planning and finance, including a role as executive vice president of investor services at Charles Schwab where she led 7,000 employees and managed $1.6 trillion in assets.

'01 Ryan Gebhart, of Saint Cloud, vice president of lending, celebrated 25 years with National Exchange Bank & Trust.

'01 Joel Maxam, of Onedia, is the new Oneida Police Department chief of police. Maxam brings 25 years of experience to the department where he has served in a variety of roles including assistant chief.

'02 Shannon (Schlink) Burns, of Germantown, celebrated 20 years with the Hamilton School District.

'02 Bradley Heraly, of Hortonville, a hematologist/oncologist, has worked ten years with Green Bay Oncology and has been the primary hematologist/oncologist at Ascension NE Wisconsin-Mercy Hospital.

'04, '10 Adam Nelson, of Fond du Lac, is a registered nurse at SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital. Nelson works in the Resource Pool and enjoys working with a variety of patients on multiple hospital floors.

'10 John Broerman, of Franklin, is a financial advisor and managing director of the Kenosha office of Ameriprise Financial. Broerman has more than a decade of experience working with individuals and businesses on financial and retirement planning.

'10 Abby (Schultz) Liebergen, of Freedom, was honored as one of Insight Publications' 40 Under 40 Award recipients, recognizing 40 young professionals who are driving innovation and shaping the future of Northeast Wisconsin. Liebergen is the chief financial officer for Gustman Dealership Group.

'10 Dany Thompson, of Sun Prairie, is a Title IX compliance specialist with the Universities of Wisconsin.

'12 Alayne (Bosman) Krause, of Sheboygan Falls, was honored as one of Insight Publications' 40 Under 40 Award recipients, recognizing 40 young professionals who are driving innovation and shaping the future of Northeast Wisconsin. Krause is the Sheboygan County Administrator with a passion for affordable housing.

'13 (MPA) Emily McFarland, of Watertown, is the executive director of the League of Wisconsin Municipalities. McFarland becomes the sixth director in the League's 128-year history and the first woman to hold the role. She has served as vice president of development and administration for a housing development company and previously as mayor of Watertown.

'13 Alecia Raschke, of Fremont, owner of Blue Top Resort on Partridge Lake, recently purchased and rebranded the former Let's Meat location as Lakeside Market. The Raschkes plan to expand the previous offerings as well as bring a convenient camp store to their customers.

'16, '19 (DNP) Tiffani Driessen, of Oshkosh, joined the perioperative medicine team at ThedaCare Medical Center-Berlin as a nurse practitioner.

'16, '25 (DNP) Britney (Feuerhammer) Milheiser, of Menasha, is a family medicine nurse practitioner at ThedaCare Physicians-Appleton.

'16 Juliann Stanis, of Portland, Oregon, is an assistant professor at Oregon Health and Science University. Stanis recently completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nursing Leadership at Washington State University.

'17 Hannah (Shimek) Basile, of Oconto Falls, was honored as one of Insight Publications' 40 Under 40 Award recipients, recognizing 40 young professionals who are driving innovation and shaping the future of Northeast Wisconsin. Basile is the director of program services and training for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Bay & Lakes Region.

'17 Aaron Van Buren, of Three Rivers, Michigan, is a material handler with Thermo Fisher Scientific. Van Buren published two online documentaries about Division III athletics, The Untold Story of UW-Superior Football and Five Falls of Glassboro, both of which can be found on YouTube.

'19 (MBA) Chad Bianchi, of Green Bay, was honored as one of Insight Publications' 40 Under 40 Award recipients, recognizing 40 young professionals who are driving innovation and shaping the future of Northeast Wisconsin. Bianchi is the vice president of financial planning and analysis with Syniverse Technologies.

'21 Bree Porter

'21 Andrew Haese, of Oshkosh, a WIXX-FM radio personality, debuted his parody song Hammond, Indiana about the Chicago Bears moving their stadium, sung to the tune of Gary, Indiana from the musical The Music Man. Haese's radio name is Andrew Haze.

'21, '25 (MBA), Austin Hammond, of Menasha, was honored as one of Insight Publications' 40 Under 40 Award recipients, recognizing 40 young professionals who are driving innovation and shaping the future of Northeast Wisconsin. Hammond is the mayor of Menasha and is married to '21 Amber Hammond.

'21 Bree Porter, of Morgantown, West Virginia, is the assistant director of student-athlete academic services at West Virginia University, counseling both the record-setting women's basketball and baseball teams.

'25 (DNP) Renee Bruckner, of Chilton, is a family medicine nurse practitioner at ThedaCare Physicians-Appleton.

'25 Hannah Detert, of Fond du Lac, opened Hands Down Pottery in Green Lake, a studio and gift shop centered on art, community and handmade work. During her college career at UW-Oshkosh, Detert discovered a passion for ceramics and began learning the business side of art through a traveling Charm Bar business.
