Lincoln University Faculty and Staff Prepare for Academic Year at Fall Institute 2026

The annual event brought faculty and staff together for university updates, professional development and collaboration ahead of the fall semester.

Lincoln University faculty and staff gathered Aug. 10-11 for Fall Institute 2026, an annual event held during the week before fall classes begin. This year's theme, "Building Greater, Better, More Beautiful Futures," reflected the focus on preparing faculty and staff for the academic year while advancing the University's mission of excellence in teaching, learning, service and student success.

The two-day institute included university updates, faculty and staff meetings and professional development sessions. Sessions covered topics including artificial intelligence, student success and retention, crisis response and emergency preparedness, advising, online instruction, procurement, budgeting and other resources and processes that support the University community.

Day two included faculty-focused breakout sessions addressing topics such as AI-literate assignments, online instruction, faculty use of AI, promotion and tenure, advising and student engagement. The institute concluded with an all-faculty meeting, departmental meetings and a faculty and staff social.

Fall Institute provides an opportunity for faculty and staff to reconnect with colleagues, celebrate accomplishments, receive important university updates and continue professional development as they prepare to support students and the University's mission in the year ahead.
