09/15/2025 - Fones Rd Update

Building a Safer Street for Everyone
Return to Nighttime Work

This week, crews will finish the current section of water and power conversions servicing single-family homes, apartments, and businesses on Fones Rd. Following this work, crews will return to night work on Monday, September 22, and continue installing the new water main and connecting water service lines to it. This work is expected to continue through mid-October.

Puget Sound Energy (PSE)
Additionally, PSE will continue conversion of the current overhead electrical system to an underground system along Fones Road. Community members can expect to see PSE crews working during regular daytime work hours.
Use Alternate Routes
Work on Fones Road will become increasingly more complex as multiple crews move forward project tasks. It is highly recommended that drivers use alternate routes. This will help ensure the safety of work crews and people that live or work on Fones Road.

If you must use Fones Road drive slowly.
