Newark Fire


The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office is currently investigating a building fire that occurred today in Newark, DE.

At approximately 1328 hours today the Christiana Fire Company was alerted to a fire at 56 South Old Baltimore Pike in the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel. Upon arrival the fire department found smoke coming from the roof area of the building. Fire personnel located a fire on the roof with no extension to the floors below. Several fire departments were alerted and responded to assist on the initial incident. A second alarm was also requested for additional manpower.

No injuries have been reported and all occupants exited safely from the building

Damage to the building is estimated at $500,000.00
