The 2025 FIFA World Cup is getting underway, and that's got us all in the mood for soccer-and you can find plenty of summer camp action happening right here in Seguin on Gustafson Field at Texas Lutheran University!
The June youth soccer camp wrapped up earlier this month, but July will bring two more chances for players to hit the field.
From July 10-12, TLU hosts the TLU Men's Soccer College Prep Camp, an overnight camp for athletes in grades 9-12 staffed by current TLU coaches. TLU Men's Soccer Coach and Camp Director Eddie Salazar says the goal of the camp is to replicated the college experience for participants. Campers stay in freshmen dorms, eat meals on campus, and train both in the classroom and on the field, while being supervised by a TLU certified athletic trainer.
Then from July 20-23, the university will host its second youth soccer day camp for boys and girls aged 8-14. The camp will help youth players gain exposure to technical and decision-making skills, physical components, and mental attributes that are required to excel at soccer. Campes are guaranteed to receive individualized instruction from coaching staff and current TLU soccer players-all while having fun.
"We're excited to welcome everyone back to campus for a fun and competitive summer experience," said Coach Salazar.
