College of Communication offering student transportation to Wisconsin Herd Career in Sports Day

Students who are interested in working in sports will find ample opportunities for networking at the Wisconsin Herd Career in Sports Day on Friday, Feb. 20 in Oshkosh, Wis.

Those interested in attending should register online and email [email protected] to request a space on college-provided transportation if needed. The registration cost is $22.21 as of this article's publication, which includes admission to the event and tickets to that night's Wisconsin Herd vs. Greensboro Swarm game.

Students who are using college transportation should meet in the jPad at 1 p.m. and plan to leave Johnston Hall at 1:30 p.m. Students should plan on returning around 11 p.m.

A full schedule of events is below:

• Career fair: 3:30-4:30 p.m.

• Panel discussion and Q&A: 4:30-5:30 p.m.

• Doors open to the arena: 6 p.m.

• Tip-off time: 7 p.m.

The career fair includes representatives from the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks and Wisconsin Timber Rattlers minor league baseball team, among other Wisconsin sports teams.
