Mercyhealth receives approval for new emergency department and multi-specialty clinic in the City of Jefferson

CITY of JEFFERSON, Wisconsin-Mercyhealth has received approval to build a new 30,000-square-foot emergency department and multi-specialty clinic near the intersection of Racine Street and Pitzner Parkway in the City of Jefferson.

The $45 million investment will bring expanded health care services closer to home for residents. The facility will offer 24/7 emergency care, along with lab and imaging services and a helicopter pad. Primary care will be a key component of the new facility, with additional specialty services, including occupational health, also planned.

"This is an important investment in the health and well-being of the residents in the City of Jefferson," said Javon Bea, President/CEO of Mercyhealth. "We're excited to bring convenient access to emergency, primary and specialty care closer to home and to build a facility designed to grow with the community's health care needs."

The facility will be designed to allow for future expansion, giving Mercyhealth the flexibility to add services as the needs of the community evolve.

Construction could begin as early as this fall, with completion estimated for mid-2027.

Additional details about the project will be shared as construction plans progress.
