Backpacks and Brighter Futures: Frankford’s Annual Supply Drive

At AdvanSix, it all starts with giving back to our communities and making a positive impact on the next generation. Our Frankford plant team members demonstrate this commitment every fall season with a back-to-school supply collection for local youth. The effort benefits the Bridesburg Boys & Girls Club,a youth development organization right in the Philadelphia neighborhood where the plant is located.

Each year, our Frankford Plant team comes together to ensure that local students have the tools they need to start the school year strong. Employees donate backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, and other classroom essentials. This year, their generosity contributed 41 backpacks filled to the brim with supplies tailored for elementary, middle and high school students alike - while younger children's backpacks included crayons, and teens received college-ruled notebooks.

"Every full backpack we donate means a fresh start to a school year full of promise," said Frankford Plant Environmental Lead Adrienne Yeager. "Our employees are proud to participate in this drive because they know their contributions send a message to the kids that their community is rooting for them."

The Bridesburg Boys & Girls Club is a community fixture and a critical resource for youth and families, offering daycare, after-school programs, mentorship and a safe place to grow and learn.

For the Frankford team, this effort represents a commitment to the Boys and Girls Club that continues throughout the year, including an annual holiday toy drive and other events. We're grateful for every employee who contributed time, funds, supplies and their energy to our community and look forward to our continued partnership with the Bridesburg Boys & Girls Club.
