ATLANTA - Hotel Equities ("HE"), a best-in-class hospitality operator and developer, and Procure Impact, a leading hospitality procurement platform connecting hotels with products from mission-driven and emerging brands, today announced that Hotel Equities has become the top-performing hotel management company participating in the Dignity of Work Pledge.

Hotel Equities generated more than 20,000 hours of meaningful work for individuals overcoming barriers to employment. Building on this momentum, the company has more than doubled its commitment, pledging to create 50,000 hours of work through future purchases on the Procure Impact platform. Hotel Equities' partnership with Procure Impact is part of HE's company-wide social impact program, HE Cares, which focuses on bringing associates and properties together to strengthen the communities it serves.

"At Hotel Equities, we believe hospitality has the power to create opportunity far beyond the walls of our hotels," said Ben Rafter, Chief Executive Officer of Hotel Equities. "Surpassing this milestone shows what can happen when our properties and associates rally around a shared commitment. We are proud of this progress, and we're energized by what comes next. We are deepening our commitment to doing good and strengthening the communities in which we live, work and serve."

The Dignity of Work Pledge, created by Procure Impact in partnership with the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA), mobilizes hospitality companies to use their purchasing power to create employment opportunities for people facing barriers to work as well as support local small businesses. Participating companies commit to increasing purchases from businesses that intentionally employ and support individuals with disabilities, veterans, refugees, people overcoming addiction, survivors of trafficking and poverty, and others who have traditionally been excluded from the workforce.

"Hotel Equities has demonstrated what is possible when a company turns its values into consistent action," said Jen Collins Co-Founder and President of Procure Impact. "They did not simply meet their commitment. They doubled it, becoming the top-performing management company participating in the Dignity of Work Pledge. Their new 50,000-hour pledge sets an inspiring standard for how hospitality purchasing can strengthen communities and create meaningful opportunity at scale."

Through Procure Impact, Hotel Equities properties hand select hospitality products that enrich the guest experience, while directly supporting meaningful employment opportunities within the community. One powerful example can be found with Postcard Cabins, part of the Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy and managed by Hotel Equities. The Postcard Cabins team worked with Procure Impact to create a custom s'mores amenity featuring Stroopies, which quickly became a guest favorite and social media phenom. Stroopies is a social enterprise that makes Dutch stroopwafel cookies while creating employment and community for resettled refugee women. As the program grows, Stroopies is now exploring a new production facility that will expand its capacity and create opportunities for even more women.

Hotel Equities' performance reflects the growing role procurement can play in advancing both business and community outcomes. By incorporating mission-driven products into hotel retail, food and beverage, amenities and other guest-facing programs, hospitality companies can create differentiated guest experiences while expanding opportunity through their everyday operations.
