Rep. King Highlights New OneOhio Grant Funding to Combat Addiction and Strengthen Recovery

State Representative Angie King (R-Celina) announced today that the OneOhio Recovery Foundation has launched a new statewide round of opioid settlement grant funding, making up to $45.7 million available to support prevention, treatment, and recovery efforts across Ohio.

Regional Grant Cycle 2 invites organizations working to address substance use disorders to prepare for the Funding Inquiry window, which opened January 14, 2026. The full Request for Proposals is available on the OneOhio Grant Headquarters webpage at OneOhioFoundation.com/Grants.

"Hope gives people the strength to overcome addition, and local programs provide the guidance and support needed to turn that hope into real recovery," said Rep. King. "This grant program is critical because it empowers local organizations with the resources they need to expand services, reach more Ohioans, and make a lasting difference in our communities."

This round advances the momentum of the first grant cycle which distributed more than $45 million to over 240 locally driven projects across Ohio. Those grants supported youth prevention, school-based mental health programs, recovery housing, treatment expansion, post-overdose outreach, and workforce initiatives in the behavioral health field.

The OneOhio Recovery Foundation is a nonprofit, charitable organization created at the direction of Ohio's state and local leaders to distribute 55 percent of the funds our state will receive from the pharmaceutical industry as part of the agreed-upon Distributor settlement reached as a consequence of the national opioid epidemic.
