From Darkness to Light: An Evening of Remembrance and Hope April 22

The Mission Viejo Activities Committee and Chabad Jewish Center of Mission Viejo hosting a profound and inspiring evening "From Darkness to Light: An Evening of Remembrance and Hope" on Wednesday, April 22 featuring three Holocaust survivors whose stories of courage, loss, resilience, and renewal continue to illuminate the world today.

This free public program, which begins at 6:30 pm at the Norman P. Murray Center, offers a rare opportunity to hear firsthand accounts from people who endured humanity's darkest chapter and emerged with messages that continue to guide future generations. Community members are encouraged to bring a friend, neighbor, or family member who may benefit from an evening of connection, reflection, and hope.

The featured speakers include Mike Wolff, Ann Jenner and Sam Silberberg.

Mike is a Holocaust survivor who escaped Nazi Germany through the Kindertransport rescue effort, which brought thousands of Jewish children to safety in Great Britain. Mike will share his extraordinary journey of survival, loss, and rebuilding a life of purpose. His memoir "Full Circle" is available on Amazon.

Ann was a child survivor who spent 27 months hidden in Holland. Ann's story highlights the quiet heroism of those who risked everything to save a life, and the enduring strength of a child who refused to be erased.

Sam was just 10 years old when the Nazis invaded Poland. He survived years of persecution, two concentration camps, and a daring escape during a death march. His story continues through liberation, immigration, and the building of a new life in Israel. His book "From Hell to the Promised Land" is available on Amazon.

This event takes place at the 24832 Veterans Way. There is no charge to attend, but RSVPs are requested to help prepare. Click here to RSVP.
