FDNY Commissioner Robert S. Tucker to Preside Over Promotion Ceremony

The Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) Commissioner Robert S. Tucker will preside over a promotion ceremony for members on Monday, October 27 at 10 a.m. at the Ocean Breeze Track and Field Facility. The ceremony can be viewed live on the Department's website at https://www.nyc.gov/FDNY or HERE.
The FDNY will name Rabbi Joseph Potasnik as the Chief FDNY Chaplain. One Deputy Assistant Chief will be promoted to the rank of Assistant Chief, four Battalion Chiefs will be promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief, six Captains will be promoted to Battalion Chief, 30 Lieutenants will be promoted to the rank of Captain, four Fire Marshals will be promoted to the rank of Supervising Fire Marshal, 56 Firefighters will be promoted to Lieutenant, and one firefighter will be promoted to Fire Marshal.
The newly promoted members will be assigned to units throughout New York City.
