WASHINGTON, D.C. - The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation's leading small-business-advocacy organization, has endorsed Rep. Eric Burlison's (MO-07) Great American Healthcare Plan (H.R. 8324).
"Healthcare costs continue to strain families and small businesses," Rep. Burlison said. "I'm grateful for NFIB's support of the Great American Healthcare Plan. It's time to put Americans back in charge of their healthcare dollars."
In its endorsement, NFIB Principal of Federal Government Relations Tyler Dever said the legislation "represents an important step toward more affordable healthcare coverage" and praised the bill for expanding Health Savings Accounts and giving small businesses greater flexibility to offer affordable healthcare coverage.
NFIB also noted that rising health-insurance costs have been the top concern of small-business owners for decades and said the legislation would expand choice, increase flexibility, and put patients in charge of their own healthcare decisions.
