Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Edmondo Cirielli met today in Rome with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Jiří Brodský.
The meeting allowed for a wide-ranging exchange of views on key international issues, including the latest developments in the Middle East, support for Ukraine and EU enlargement, with particular focus on the Caucasus and the Western Balkans. The discussion also addressed numerous opportunities for economic and commercial cooperation in strategic sectors, considering the presence of around 3,000 Italian companies in the Czech Republic.
"The relationship with the Czech Republic is solid and offers further growth potential, also thanks to the 2026-2030 Italy-Czech Republic Action Plan, being developed following the recent meeting between Prime Minister Meloni and Prime Minister Babiš", said Deputy Minister Cirielli.
