Possible severe weather and flash flooding through the weekend

Widespread showers and thunderstorms are forecast for Pinellas County today through the weekend. Heavy rain may cause localized flash flooding, especially in urban and low-lying areas, along with gusty winds and frequent lightning.

Never drive or walk through flooded roadways. Just six inches of fast-moving water can knock you down, and one foot can float a car. Avoid driving through flooded streets to prevent creating waves, which cause additional property damage to nearby homes. Remember: Turn Around, Don't Drown!
