Rep. Pizzulli Applauds Funding to Support Local Demolition Projects

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County) is pleased to announce that Scioto County was recently awarded $230,000 through the Building Demolition and Site Revitalization Program to tear down unsafe, blighted buildings and prepare those sites for new opportunities.

House Republicans secured $21.5 million per fiscal year in the State Budget for the program, spurring economic development across Ohio.

"Scioto County has so much to offer, and this funding will unlock new potential by revitalizing sites and creating economic opportunity," said Pizzulli.

The Building Demolition and Site Revitalization Program was created by the 134th General Assembly and has proven successful in helping spur economic development and revitalizing properties throughout the state. Since 2021, the program has invested more than $310 million to support nearly 6,200 demolition projects across every county in Ohio.
