Greetings on the 35th anniversary of the Russian Constitutional Court

The message reads, in part:

"Throughout these years, the Court has fulfilled an important mission: ensuring the supremacy and direct application of the Constitution as the foundation of all legislation and the legal bedrock of the country's socioeconomic and public life. It has set an example of a responsible and attentive approach to the fate of every individual, maintaining a balance between individual freedom and public interest. Its rulings serve as the ultimate standard for assessing the constitutionality of laws and other regulatory legal acts. They safeguard the constitutional order and the rights and freedoms of citizens, while helping to improve legal practice and enhance the effectiveness of the judicial system.

The nationwide vote on constitutional amendments in 2020 was a landmark event for the entire country. Millions of people put forward substantive proposals that underscored the social orientation of our state. I believe it significant that the powers of the Constitutional Court have been substantially expanded and its role considerably strengthened.

The Court's judges and staff have always been distinguished by their professionalism, dedication, and profound expertise. You carefully preserve and build upon the finest traditions of your predecessors. Through your unwavering commitment to principle, you uphold public confidence in justice and the rule of law, while actively contributing to the strengthening of our national sovereignty and constitutional identity.

I thank you for your professionalism and conscientious service to the Fatherland. I am confident that you will continue to fulfil the tasks entrusted to you with distinction, contributing to the development of Russia as a democratic state governed by the rule of law."
