George Fox University Climbs U.S. News Rankings to No. 120 Among Nation’s “Top Private Colleges”
Latest ranking highlights engineering and nursing programs and makes George Fox the top-ranked Christian university in Oregon
NEWBERG, Ore. - For the 39th time, George Fox University has been recognized in U.S. News & World Report's annual "Best Colleges" rankings, maintaining its position among the nation's top institutions in the prestigious "National Universities" category. George Fox is ranked No. 120 among Top Private Schools and No. 262 overall in the National Universities grouping, which evaluates institutions offering a full range of undergraduate majors, master's, and doctoral programs. George Fox's ranking ties it for the top-ranked private Christian university in the Pacific Northwest and one of the top four on the West Coast.
The university also performed strongly in serving lower-income students, ranking No. 269 for Top Performers on Social Mobility, a metric that measures success in enrolling and graduating students who receive federal Pell Grants.
George Fox climbed to No. 71 nationally in the Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs category among institutions that do not offer a doctorate. With this rise, George Fox continues to rank as the top engineering program at a West Coast Christian university. The university also received national recognition in the health sciences field, with its nursing program ranking No. 336 nationally.
