Ambassador Vahagn Afyan met with Gyanesh Kumar, Chief Election Commissioner of India

On 30 July, Ambassador Vahagn Afyan met with Gyanesh Kumar, Chief Election Commissioner of India and Chairman of the Council of Member States of International IDEA (International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance).
During the meeting, Ambassador Afyan referred to the congratulatory messages extended to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of the parliamentary elections held in Armenia. He also highlighted the importance of cooperation between the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia and the Election Commission of India, the world's largest democracy.
Gyanesh Kumar, Chief Election Commissioner and Chairman of the Council of Member States of International IDEA, reaffirmed the joint commitment of the electoral commissions of both countries to strengthening close cooperation, particularly through the implementation of training programmes and sharing of best practices.
