Community event gives residents a safe, no-arrest opportunity to resolve outstanding warrants, citations
Tulsa Municipal Court and Tulsa County District Court are teaming up to host a "Clear Your Warrants" event on Friday, July 31, 2026.
The event will give participants a straightforward way to address outstanding warrants/citations and get connected to resources - all without fear of arrest. Attendees will also be able to speak directly with court staff and attorneys, explore payment plans, and get questions answered.

Tulsa Leaders Weigh In
"For many residents, unresolved warrants or citations create real barriers to jobs, housing, transportation, and stability," Mayor Monroe Nichols said. "Clear Your Warrants gives people a safe way to address those issues, understand their options, and take the next step. I'm proud that our team continues to prioritize these types of interventions, and I hope Tulsans take this opportunity to clear some past obstacles that might otherwise get in their way."
"Through our fines and fees reform work, City Councilors have made it a priority to ensure that every Tulsan has a fair and equitable path to resolving court obligations, regardless of their financial circumstances," Council Chair Karen Gilbert said. "The 'Clear Your Warrants' event reflects the goals outlined in our action plan by removing barriers, improving access to court services and connecting residents with the support they need to move forward. We're committed to supporting efforts like this that not only resolve outstanding cases but also address the underlying challenges that drive justice involvement."
"The warrant-clearing event is a joint initiative between the City of Tulsa Municipal Court and Tulsa County District Court to help individuals resolve outstanding bench warrants, traffic citations, and non-violent misdemeanor cases," District Judge Dawn Moody said. "This event guarantees participants that they will not be arrested. We know that a warrant for even minor offenses can create major barriers in someone's life, from finding work to securing housing. This event gives people the chance to clear those hurdles safely and without fear."
"We want people to know this event is designed to help, not intimidate," said Cheri Harvell, Court Administrator for Tulsa Municipal Court. "Come in, ask questions, and find out what's possible."
Additional On-Site Support
Community partners will be available throughout the event to connect residents with:
"JusticeLink is honored to support Tulsa County District Court and the City of Tulsa Municipal Court by bringing together community partners who can provide information and resources during the warrant clearing event," said Stephanie Horten, Executive Director of JusticeLink. "From housing and employment opportunities to mental health services and support for families, we want participants to feel welcomed, valued, and connected to opportunities that can help them move forward."
State payments will not be accepted at the event but may be made separately through the Tulsa County Courthouse during normal business hours. Accepted payment methods for City cases include cash, debit/credit cards, and money orders. An ATM is available inside the Municipal Court building.
