Dr. Robert Blotter Joins Aspirus to Expand Orthopedic Care Across the Upper Peninsula

Aspirus Health is pleased to welcome Dr. Robert Blotter, to its orthopedic care team. Dr. Blotter will provide orthopedic services at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital and Clinics in Laurium and Aspirus Iron River Hospital and Clinics in Iron River, further expanding access to specialized musculoskeletal care for patients across Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Before pursuing his orthopedic training, Dr. Blotter served as a Navy flight surgeon with the United States Marine Corps. Following completion of his orthopedic surgery residency in Sacramento, California, he served at the Naval Hospital in Yokosuka, Japan, before relocating to Michigan's Upper Peninsula more than 25 years ago. He earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio, and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

Dr. Blotter is a familiar physician throughout the Upper Peninsula, bringing decades of orthopedic expertise to Aspirus. Throughout his career, he has served as an orthopedic surgeon, chief of staff, vice chief of staff, and head of the orthopedic trauma service at UP Health System - Marquette. He also provided outreach services at UP Health System - Bell and OSF St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.
