Defence Minister's meeting with the European Investment Bank representatives



On Wednesday, October 8th, Minister of National Defence, Liviu-Ionuț Moșteanu, had a meeting, at the MoND headquarters, with Robert de Groot, Vice-President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), and with Ioannis Tsakiris, EIB Vice-President and responsible for Romania.



The meeting agenda included topics regarding cooperation opportunities in the field of the defence industry. EIB representatives briefed on concrete collaborative opportunities, through partnership development and expansion of eligibility criteria for investment projects in this strategic sector.



The European Investment Bank (EIB) is an independent financial institution that autonomously makes its own decisions on borrowing and lending credits, depending on the project and the opportunities on the financial markets. Within the European Union, the EIB monitors financing priorities set at European level, and outside the EU, the EIB supports development and cooperation policies in various countries around the world.
