From the foundations of computation to artificial intelligence

On February 3, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the Engineering Aula Magna will host a scientific outreach event addressed to approximately 290 students from the "Niccolò Copernico" Scientific High School, following a request by Prof. Annalisa Santini.

The event will feature a talk by Prof. Federico Cerutti from the Department of Information Engineering, focusing on the potential and limitations of generative artificial intelligence, with the aim of guiding students toward a critical and informed reflection on the evolution of digital technologies, from the fundamentals of computation to the latest developments in AI.

During the event, time will also be dedicated to the presentation of the University's educational offerings, providing an opportunity for orientation and further insight for the participating students.
