Tajikistan-Azerbaijan consular consultations in Baku

On April 2, 2026, the fourth round of consular consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan was held in Baku.

The delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan was headed by Mr. Bahodur Safarzoda, Head of the Main Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, while the delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan was headed by Mr. Emil Safarov, Head of the Consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

During the consultations, the parties discussed key issues of consular cooperation, including the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral relations, the protection of citizens' rights and interests, as well as other important aspects of consular affairs.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening consular cooperation and continuing a constructive dialogue.

Following the consular consultations, a protocol meeting was held between the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan and Mr. Fariz Rzayev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The meeting was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere.
