USDA Rural Development Announces $75.7 Million Community Facilities Direct Loan for Community Hospital Association in McCook

(McCook, Nebr., October X, 2026) - The U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development announced $75.7 million in Community Facilities Direct Loan funding to support major upgrades at the Community Hospital Association in McCook, Nebraska. The investment will expand the central utility plant, build a new three-story office building, and renovate the hospital's cancer center.

These improvements will help expand access to essential health and wellness services for people living in rural Nebraska.

"Under the leadership of President Trump and Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, USDA Rural Development delivers investments that bring renewed prosperity and opportunity to rural Nebraska," said Rural Housing Service Administrator George Kelly.

USDA Rural Development administers this funding through the Community Facilities Direct Loan Program , which provides affordable financing to develop essential community facilities in rural areas.
